JOHN BOSSANGE
DIRECTOR
John Bossange is a retired educator who taught for thirteen years and was a middle school principal in Vermont for twenty-four. Since retirement, he has served on multiple non-profit Boards in Burlington (Flynn Theatre, King St. Center, Mercy Connections, the Parks Foundation, Board of Advisors at UVM), and served as a Parks Commissioner for nine years.
Since moving to South Burlington four years ago, he is now a Board member of the South Burlington Land Trust, is a City Council appointee serving on the Natural Resources and Conservation Committee, and represents the City on the Champlain Valley Conservation Partnership.
John is passionate about conserving land, mitigating the climate crisis, controlling unlimited sprawl and development, and addressing the economic growth models based on more consumption which do not measure their impact on the environment.
