Margit is an undergraduate student studying ecological economics at the University of Vermont's department of Community Development Applied Economics. She was an intern for Better(not bigger)Vermont from January to May 2020, and is now on the Board of Directors.

Margit believes that our current capitalistic economy is founded on the exploitation of civilians into partaking in mass consumption and waste. She is an advocate for steady state economies and has presented before the Lieutenant Governor of Vermont on the implications of continuous growth and the importance of degrowth rhetoric.
